This domestic renewable energy system was installed by TEMS Solar on 8th May 2024, combining solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging to create a highly efficient, future-ready home energy solution.

System Design & Installation
The system makes full use of a large, south-facing roof, enabling strong solar generation throughout the day. Fourteen JA Solar 405W panels were installed to deliver a total capacity of 5.67 kWp, providing a solid balance between generation and household demand.

A Fox H1 5.0kW hybrid inverter was selected to seamlessly integrate both solar generation and battery storage. The addition of a 5.8 kWh Fox ECS battery allows excess daytime energy to be stored and used later, improving overall system efficiency and self-consumption.

An EV charger was also incorporated into the system, allowing the homeowner to charge their electric vehicle using self-generated solar energy—further enhancing cost savings and sustainability.

All equipment is outdoor-rated, meaning installation did not require indoor space, preserving the usability and aesthetics of the home’s interior.
