On 30 April 2024, TEMS Solar completed a solar and battery installation at a residential property in Northampton, Northamptonshire. The system was designed to make the most of an east-facing roof, delivering renewable energy while providing storage for greater self-consumption.

System Design & Specifications
The installation features a 4.01kWp solar PV system, composed of 9 JINKO 445W panels. The array is oriented primarily east, optimised to capture morning sunlight and improve energy generation during early hours.

A Fox 3.7kW hybrid inverter manages the energy flow, linking solar generation with an 8.6kWh Fox ECS battery. This storage capacity allows surplus energy produced during the day to be used later, helping the household reduce reliance on grid electricity.

Installation Highlights
The east-facing panel configuration demonstrates TEMS Solar’s ability to tailor system design to site-specific conditions. Despite not having a perfect southern orientation, careful placement and panel selection maximised the system’s efficiency and overall performance.
