Case Study: Solar & Battery Installation – Sandhurst, Berkshire
Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a high-capacity residential solar and battery installation in Sandhurst, Berkshire. The system was designed to deliver strong renewable energy generation from a favourable roof orientation, while integrating battery storage to maximise self-consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
System Design & Specifications
The installation provides a total solar PV capacity of 8.7kWp using 20 JINKO 435W modules. The panels were installed on a large southeast-facing roof, ensuring strong morning and daytime solar exposure for consistent energy generation.
A Fox 6kW hybrid inverter manages the system, efficiently integrating solar production with battery storage. The Fox ECS 5.8kWh high-voltage battery system stores excess energy generated during the day, allowing it to be used during the evening or periods of lower solar output.
Installation Highlights
A key feature of this project is the large southeast-facing roof array, which provides excellent conditions for solar generation. The scale of the system ensures strong output while maximising the available roof space.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
High-capacity solar generation from a southeast-facing roof
Increased self-consumption through integrated battery storage
Reduced electricity bills and lower reliance on the grid
Efficient use of a large roof area
Smart energy management with hybrid inverter technology
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how large-scale residential solar systems can deliver significant energy and cost-saving benefits when combined with battery storage. TEMS Solar provided a tailored solution designed for efficiency, performance, and long-term energy independence.
