Case Study: Solar & Battery Installation – Sandhurst, Berkshire
Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Sandhurst, Berkshire. The system was designed to deliver efficient renewable energy generation from a favourable roof orientation, combined with battery storage to maximise self-consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
System Design & Specifications
The installation provides a total solar PV capacity of 3.48kWp using 8 JINKO 435W modules. The panels were installed on a south-facing roof, ensuring strong solar exposure and consistent energy generation throughout the day.
A Fox 3kW hybrid inverter manages the system, seamlessly integrating solar production with battery storage. The Fox ECS 5.8kWh high-voltage battery stores excess energy generated during daylight hours, allowing it to be used during the evening or periods of lower solar output.
Installation Highlights
A key feature of this installation is the south-facing panel orientation, which provides optimal conditions for solar generation. This allows the system to achieve strong performance despite its compact size.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
Strong and consistent solar generation from a south-facing roof
Increased self-consumption through integrated battery storage
Reduced electricity bills and lower reliance on the grid
Efficient performance from a compact system design
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how even smaller systems can achieve excellent results when installed on a well-oriented roof. TEMS Solar delivered a tailored solution that maximises efficiency, energy independence, and long-term cost savings.
