Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Reading, Berkshire. The system was designed to maximise renewable energy generation by utilising both the main roof and garage roof, while incorporating battery storage to enhance self-consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
System Design & Specifications
The installation provides a total solar PV capacity of 7.4kWp using 17 JINKO 435W modules. The panels were installed across the property's southeast-facing main roof and garage roof, creating a large, well-orientated solar array capable of delivering strong and consistent energy generation throughout the day.
A Fox H1 6.0kW hybrid inverter manages the system, seamlessly integrating solar production with battery storage. The system is paired with a Fox ECS 8.6kWh high-voltage battery, allowing excess solar energy generated during the day to be stored for use during the evening or periods of lower solar output.
Installation Highlights
A key feature of this project is the use of both the main roof and garage roof to achieve a larger system capacity. The southeast-facing orientation provides excellent morning and daytime generation, while the additional roof space enabled TEMS Solar to maximise the number of panels installed and increase overall energy production.
