Case Study: Solar & Battery Installation – Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The system was designed to deliver strong renewable energy generation while incorporating battery storage to maximise self-consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
System Design & Specifications
The installation provides a total solar PV capacity of 8.01kWp, using 18 high-efficiency JINKO 445W modules. The system was configured to ensure optimal performance and reliable energy generation for the household.
A Fox H1 5.0kW hybrid inverter was installed to manage solar production and seamlessly integrate battery storage. The Fox ECS 5.8kWh high-voltage battery system stores excess energy generated during the day, allowing it to be used during the evening or periods of lower solar output.
Installation Highlights
This project focused on delivering a clean and efficient system design, combining high-performance components with smart energy management. The integration of hybrid inverter technology and battery storage ensures the system operates efficiently while maximising the use of renewable energy.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
Reliable solar energy generation to support daily household usage
Increased self-consumption through integrated battery storage
Reduced electricity bills and lower dependence on the grid
Efficient energy management with hybrid inverter technology
Conclusion
This installation demonstrates how a well-designed solar and battery system can provide both environmental and financial benefits. TEMS Solar delivered a tailored solution that enhances energy independence while maintaining high levels of performance and efficiency.
