TEMS Solar completed a high-capacity residential solar and battery installation in Bracknell, Berkshire. The system was designed to maximise renewable energy generation by utilising both east and west-facing roof areas, while incorporating enhanced battery storage to improve self-consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
System Design & Specifications
The installation provides a total solar PV capacity of 9.03kWp using 21 JINKO 430W modules. The panels were installed across the east and west faces of the roof, creating a balanced generation profile that captures sunlight from morning through to evening.
A Fox H1 6.0kW hybrid inverter manages the system, seamlessly integrating solar production with battery storage. The system is paired with a Fox ECS 11.6kWh high-voltage battery, allowing a greater amount of excess solar energy to be stored and used during the evening or periods of lower solar output.

A key feature of this project is the east-west roof configuration. By distributing the panels across two orientations, the system extends the daily generation window compared with a single-facing array, helping the homeowner make better use of solar energy throughout the day.
