Solar & Battery Installation – Hayling Island, Hampshire
Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation on Hayling Island, Hampshire. The system was designed to provide reliable renewable energy generation alongside battery storage, helping the homeowner make greater use of self-generated electricity and reduce reliance on grid power.
System Design & Specifications
The installation delivers a total solar PV capacity of 5.81kWp using 14 TRINA SOLAR 415W modules. The array provides a substantial source of renewable electricity, making effective use of the available roof space to support household energy demand.
A GivEnergy 5kW hybrid inverter manages the system, integrating solar generation with battery storage. The installation is paired with a GivEnergy 5.2kWh battery, allowing surplus electricity generated during the day to be stored for use in the evening or during periods of lower solar production.
Installation Highlights
The combination of a 5.81kWp solar array, hybrid inverter and integrated battery storage provides a practical home energy solution. The battery gives the homeowner greater flexibility to store surplus solar electricity and use it when generation is lower, helping make better use of the energy produced on-site.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
-
Renewable electricity generation from 14 TRINA SOLAR modules
-
Increased potential for self-consumption through battery storage
-
Reduced reliance on grid electricity
-
Greater flexibility in household energy use
-
Integrated solar and battery management with GivEnergy technology
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how combining solar PV with battery storage can help households make better use of renewable electricity. TEMS Solar delivered a tailored solution focused on efficient energy generation, practical storage, and long-term household energy savings.
