Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Four Marks, Hampshire. The system was designed to provide reliable renewable energy generation alongside substantial battery storage, helping the homeowner make greater use of self-generated electricity and reduce reliance on grid power.
System Design & Specifications
The installation delivers a total solar PV capacity of 6.29kWp using 17 JA SOLAR 370W modules. The solar array provides a substantial source of renewable electricity, designed to make effective use of the available roof space and support household energy demand.
A GivEnergy 5kW hybrid inverter manages the system, integrating solar generation with battery storage. The installation is paired with a GivEnergy 9.5kWh battery, allowing surplus electricity generated during daylight hours to be stored for use during the evening or periods of lower solar production.
Installation Highlights
The combination of a 6.29kWp solar array and 9.5kWh battery creates a flexible home energy solution. The battery gives the homeowner greater scope to store surplus solar electricity and use it later, helping increase self-consumption and make better use of the energy generated on-site.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
Renewable electricity generation from 17 JA SOLAR modules
Increased potential for self-consumption through 9.5kWh battery storage
Reduced reliance on grid electricity
Greater flexibility in household energy use
Integrated solar and battery management with GivEnergy technology
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how combining a substantial solar PV array with high-capacity battery storage can help households make better use of renewable electricity. TEMS Solar delivered a tailored solution focused on efficient generation, practical energy storage, and long-term household energy savings.
